Blue Jays Sign Rod Barajas

The Blue Jays have signed Rod Barajas to a 1 year deal worth $1.2 m.m.

This move solidifies the backup catching spot along with Gregg Zaun.

Braves Sign Soriano

The Braves have signed relief pitcher Rafael Soriano to a 2 year deal.


"We went into the arbitration discussions with the strategy that we'd love to keep Rafael for multiple years," Wren said. "The last two years, Rafael has been one of the best relievers in baseball."


Soriano had a 3.00 ERA last year while striking out 70 0ver 72 innings, pretty good stats for a reliever. Good move for the Braves.

Pirates sign Jaret Wright

The Pirates have signed Jaret Wright to a minor league deal This seems like an Okay deal for the Pirates. Wright is only 32 so it is worth a try.

Indians sign Betancourt

The Indians have Signed Rafael Betancourt to a 2 year deal with an option for 2010. Betancourt tied with the Angels Scott Shields last year in holds with 31, His 1.47 relief ERA was second in the AL and his .183 batting avg. against was fourth. This seems like a smart move for the Indians going into 2008.

Noah Lowry?

According to the Chicago Tribune the Giants are listening to offers for Noah Lowry, Could be a back-up option for the Mets if they dont get Santana, or if the Mariners dont get Erik Bedard.

Figgins a Brewer in 08?

According to the brewer nation the Brewers are targeting Chone Figgins. This could be true considering the fact that the Halos need power and the Brewers a lead off man. Not sure about the pitching coming to the Angels, but hey lets see what comes out of this.
